Where in MTL did your best experience come from?

Welcome to the club. Will be interesting to hear how the Sette performs but not sure when it's arriving... I heard "summer"

If you can afford it, go ahead and get a top of the line grinder. You absolutely won't regret it and will save you the ~500 you'd pay to get anything decent like a B-vario. Maybe a ceado e37, compak E8, k30 if you can afford it.

If you are planning to get a B-Vario, I'd wait for reviews of the Sette 270-W first. Otherwise I'd go large burrs... At least 64mm flats like the Mazzer Super Jolly or 83mm burrs like the Ceado E37S or Mazzer Major. Or go for large conical burrs like the Robur or Compak K10. Anything below a 64mm flat burr, I would wait to see if the Sette is as revolutionary as it seems.

I graduated from a 1-cupper drip that sat on top of a mug to our present set up, an Izzo Alex Duetto III & a Mahlkonig K30 Vario and could hardly be happier. We rarely ever have cappuccinos anywhere pulled on any espresso machine that taste as good as what we routinely have at home.

However, I would also suggest looking on-line at Kijiji Montreal for espresso machines and grinders. I have seen some real gems, E61s and even a K30 Vario (it was gone in a day)!

My wife is not intimidated by our setup and pulls some pretty good shots too!

I just saw a used compak r120, but this thing is huge. The wife will kill me if I put that in the kitchen....

Put a bench and make a coffee bar in your office? :)

Sometimes laundry rooms have a nice sink and 220v...

What about a manual grinder? Since I will make a couple of shots a day.
