Red Narra has been a favorite of mine for years. It is bees-wing Narra, the figuring is supposed to resemble the translucent patterns in a bees wing but I have never noticed a similarity. Amboyna burl comes from this tree.

interesting portafilter, Breville 860XL the stud is part of the head and the handle is over-molded on it so the replacement has to be epoxied onto the portafilter head.

Cocobolo for an Expobar. Still need to cut the stud down for the portafilter but I think it turned out nice.

Nice thing about having a lathe, you never have any scrap wood. Some Ebony ends and a bit of ivory substitute makes for some interesting shaving brush handles.
