I like the convention of identifying Creminas by year. Version 2.X, 2.Y, 2.Z are going to be difficult to pin down without thorough cataloguing. I'm not up to that and don't know anyone else here who is. For shorthand, I don't think you need to name the version if you're describing an '83 Cremina. The version distinction only becomes useful as historic nomenclature to describe the revolutionary change when La Pavoni and Olympia Express went separate ways.

I am sure most of here could catalogue it as a group, just upload a pic of our Cremina and its year. Give a standard template to follow, might be cool to see way to many creminas in one thread, then someone could reorder them by date :)
