So glad to find a SoFlo resource. Moved to the area about a year ago from Austin. Unfortunately I just found out about The Grind Coffee Project a few weeks back. I was even renting a place within walking distance :x Oh well, now I'm out in Coral Springs where they serve up awesome shots at starbucks or dunkin donuts, hahah.

Hopefully another meetup is in the works as I'd love to come out.

Cheers all.

^^^ Welcome. Coral Springs isn't too far! Maybe subscribe to or bookmark the thread so you don't miss future posts? These are drop-down menu options by the wrench at the top.

If in Lutz, just north of Tampa city limits look up http://zealcoffeeroasters.com/;
Their City Limits product is wonderful.

My son is in transition to Key West. Any espresso/coffee shops in Key West he can visit?

Babys Coffee and Island Joes are the only ones I know of. Had both.

Thx. I will let him know. He arrived in Miami last week and, I think, moved to Key West this week. He will be there for three years. Wife and I plan on visiting in November. :-)
He did text me the other day wanting to know if I had found a good coffee shop for him.

Two little bits of news:

1. Todd Carmichael (of La Colombe) recently announced via Twitter that he'll be opening a location by the end of the year in Miami Beach. Draft latte, anyone? Source:

2. Similarly, Camila Ramos (formerly of Panther and Warsaw) said she's opening her own shop in Miami. Looks like it will be called All Day MIA based on social media clues. Source:

hmmm, still probably too far from Key Biscayne (where I'll be in about a week and a half), since unfortunately, I won't have wheels.

Update: Grind Coffee Project is no longer open in Ft. Lauderdale, though a new location nearby should be ready for business in 6 mo. or so, according to Yoni. In the meantime, a second location in Dade Co. has opened. I haven't been down there yet. See this recent write-up for details: http://www.miaminewtimes.com/restaurant ... ou-8040617
