Man I wish I had the opportunity to turn that much wood... It's such a pleasing activity.

Not just a purchase option. Apparently they'd gotten a few complaints about the stock wood quality fit and finish. I received an email yesterday they are offering replacement wood pieces to those who already purchased a Vesuvius at no charge. Way to go Chris Coffee.

Remember when the best camera you had was not built into your cell phone? This is a nice block of cocobolo. The wood was quite wet so I had to let it sit for a couple weeks to make sure the shape was stable and it was not going to crack. Developed into a nice brick red color with a little figure mixed in it.

Interesting. How did the brown tones come about rather than the usual red?

Unique block of wood. Never seen one like that before, probably will not see another.

Unique Magassar ebony. There are spots in the grain like birdseye maple. Very unique set for a Vesuvius espresso machine.
