It came in to my mind that if you should like Italian espresso roasts, there are at least a couple that I know who do mail order (also in English I presume):
http://www.torrefazionemarchi.it
http://www.eshopcaffedeldoge.com/index.php?lang=en

Both are Northern Italian roasters so they usually prefer mostly arabica beans and definitely darker roasts (well, lighter than the rest of Italy, but darker than them so called Scandinavian roasts). But nobody says that you coudn't contact our great Finnish roasters by email...
(More info about them if needed).

Some Dutch roasters I get coffee from:

http://dekleinekoffiebranderij.nl/site/ (I especially like the Peru)

http://www.medellinsecret.nl/webshop/_48_w_0__NL (I especially like the Santa Elena)

http://casabarista.nl/verse-koffie/ (the Tuscany is not on the website but you should really ask about this one - Joep van Moll will know what you are asking for. They do not roast themselves but they don't hold stock. Or at least very, very minimal.)

http://www.bocca.nl/

http://www.brandmeesters.nl/onze-koffies/

http://www.bootkoffie.nl/Koffie/Espressokoffie/

http://www.koffiebranderijboon.nl/bonen/ (not a webshop but they do sell coffee ;) also via casabarista that is maybe 1 km away)

And I can get Ottolina coffee from Milan here locally http://www.casadibella.nl and it really is fresh enough - the owner is a former Italian and abhors old coffee. I'm sure he would like to send it if you contact him.

There are more ...

Depends on your taste. If you are on the light roasted side of specturm, The Barn from Berlin is pretty amazing.

Also, they lower shipping rate with number of bag ordered if i recall correctly, so you might want to do group orders with friends. Coffee bags were around 9 to 10 euros.
I think it is 4e extra for shipping across europe.

To my regret, there is very few amazing roaster in switzerlandf to recommend , and anyway, the price would be as high as our cost of living.

As you said no to UK, I'll go with Italy.

I know them personally, just drop a mail, they should be able to help.

Coffee is pretty good here, obviously depending on what you like.

I personally like Illy italian coffee, you can get it from tyhe following website:

http://shop.illy.com/online/store/vi_it

The site itself is all in Italian but it is very visual so you will not have any troble finding what you look for.

I've used these guys a lot for Italian roasters. It's a German outfit ( http://aromatico.de ) & they have
a UK site ( http://aromatico.co.uk ) on which I place my order. These orders come direct to me from
Germany. I have no idea if they'll ship to North America, but the question could be asked of them.
I can vouch for the quality of the beans they offer, although I usually go for the pricier Arabica
offerings. My personnel favourites being :-
Hausbrandt....Gourmet.
La Brasiliana....Special Marfisa.
Blaser....Lilla e Rose. ( a Swiss roaster ).
Danesi....Doppio.
Passalacqua....Harem.
Costadoro....Masterclub.
New York...Extra.

Checkout both sites, they are quite interesting. I hope they could become useful.
Cheers,
Ted.
EDIT:- Very sorry to have messed-up both the above addresses.....both good to go now.
