I purchased this machine September 2013 - it's barely one year old - for $2295, plus an additional $200+ for extra, included items.

Shortly after I purchased this machine, one of my daughters announced that she was getting married at our vacation home at Lake Tahoe, and that she was offering my barista services to 150 guests for one week. (I've learned that daughters getting married are a force of nature, and nothing is open for discussion). After a lot of soul searching, I sprung for the higher volume GS/3, and now I have an extra, barely used, first class espresso machine. Other than the larger boilers, I have been unable to detect any difference between these two, fine machines in terms of the drinks produced.
