So, anyway, it's certainly possible, and you should go for it! Just don't make any permanent changes to the hg-one that you may regret later :D It will take manufacturing/machining/metalworking know-how, but that can be learned.

Just need something a little more girlfriend friendly. I would love it alone just for the light roasts because those are killer in the morning.

I'm pretty sure the HG-one guys aren't pursuing a motorized version at this point in time which is unfortunate as their prototypes were certainly interesting.

Needs cleaning off the pencil marks and putting a switch and plug on the cord. It runs forward and reverse.

That looks absolutely phenomenal! Way, way better than any other iteration. Can't wait to hear more about it!

Thanks Tom :)

When I had it in the shop I tested it in forward and reverse and it ran without binding and was smooth running in both directions. I think that once broken in (right angle gears) they will be more quiet but right now it is more quiet than the Kony-E fans but more noisy than the VL running without beans.

I am having a hard time waiting to run it with beans, sound meters and amp meters for testing.

It is 16-3/16" tall and weighs about the same as the Kony-E.

RPM=about 60 since it is rated at 55 RPM @115v and I am operating it on 121v.

I will Post a video when complete.
