I have a Silvia V3 with a PID installed. On some longer extractions the machine trips the GFCI. I can reset it and power the machine back on, but when I turn the pump on it trips again. After is sat for probably 5 minutes, it worked again. Any suggestions here? I am going to pull it apart and look for any loose or touching wires that could cause a current leakage. Is there any type of thermal overload on the vibe pump? Thanks guys!!

This question has come up before on CoffeeGeek; I searched on "Rancilio Silvia tripping GFI" and found:

This thread on HB provides background information, including the possibility that the GFI outlet itself is at fault: Help! My espresso machine keeps tripping the GFI.
