I agree with what Randy is saying EXCEPT - I would not remove the "brass valve receiver" in photo 8 of his link. The o-rings that seal this part to the grouphead have the size designation OR105 - an Italian o-ring sizing spec. After 10 years, they have grown accustomed to their squeeze. Are replacements available - absolutely - about a week from our on line friends. Are replacements absolutely essential? - maybe yes, maybe no.
Check your OPV flow first - that requires you lifting the cover off your reservoir and picking up the right tube - about 10 seconds. Once you eliminate that (or not) as the source of the problem, then proceed as Randy recommends regardless of the outcome.

It should not be necessary to remove that part. Step 6 of disassembly should be sufficient and the cleaning of the parts shown in 6 and 7 should do it. Use a group brush and detergent solution to clean out the exposed side of the brass Receiver while it is mounted on the machine. I did this twice a year when I had Silvia and never had a problem related to the 3-way valve.

I dearly want to thank you all for your advice. I did the backflush and it is now flowing very nicely. Now to figure out the best grind to get the crema I like...

Buon giorno everyone but especially the person from Ann Arbor!
I am also in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a Rancilio Silvia machine that needs repair. Mine leaks water, so I think I need either o-rings or some other repair to the pressure system.
Were you able to locate a repair place in the Ann Arbor or Detroit areas? If not, do you have any other suggestions?
Any help is much appreciated!
Thank you!

You need to be a little more definitive . . . so . . . unplug machine, remove reservoir, remove (4) screws holding top cover in place, remove top cover and take a few pics. Post those pics and help MAY be on the way.
Ann Arbor - University of Michigan - there's enough technical "know-how" in that town to easily fix a Rancilio Silvia. Madcap coffee is in Grand Rapids - is that close ? They should certainly have "fix it" leads.
