I bought my A3 used a few years back, and I am not sure when it stopped working (if it ever worked), but I just noticed that the light/led on the top right had side (by the lever) doesn't ever light up.

The top left lights whenever the pump is on...(not really that useful, but I guess in a noisy environment it may serve some purpose).

Anyone know under what conditions the right side light should be on?

Could just be burnt out, but I can't find the manual for machine...

Yup. It will normally not be on. Put a cup under the water tap and open it up. When the pump kicks in to refill the boiler, the light will come on.

Interesting. I wonder why they got rid of these lights on the new T1's. Perhaps because as pointed out above you can here if the pump is on and/or if the boiler refill is on?

Now a days, everything happens to save a dollar. Less wiring, less milling on the case, no light, less assembly, lower cost of production, would be my guess.
