I was listening to Talk of the Nation on NPR yesterday, and they did a segment with Penn Jillette, the magician. He was talking about how when he was a kid, the church ladies would make coffee jello from the dregs of the leftover coffee and plain knox gelatin. I was sure everybody here would want to try it. Or not...

I have made coffee jello the same way. You'll have to experiment with geletin/coffee ratios to get the right flavor and consistency. I made it with coffee brewed with a Chemex, but I think it would taste much better if the coffee was brewed with a cold brew device.

I like to top it with simple syrup and half-and-half.
