Today when filling my Silvia's Water Tank, I saw a lot of what look like Coffee Grinds and other small particles/debris floating around in there. I normally just keep the Tank in the Silvia, and fill it up with a water pitcher since it is a PITA to remove the thing. What would cause coffee grinds and other debris to get in there? Is that normal/bad?

You sure the debris isn't charcoal from a Brita or other water filter?

I am using tap water, which hasn't caused me any scale problems.

IF they are coffee grounds then they come from the lid being removed. They sit around up there and get socked in when you remove the lid. They can get on the lid from sitting it on th counter, your hands, or tools or coups stored on top of Silvia.
