Here is a quick FAQ sheet with pictures on how to fix your leaky steam wand on models based on the Saeco Via Veneto machine (pressurized).

- Saeco Aroma
- Starbucks Barista
- La Pavoni Eurobar EDL
- La Pavoni Pisa
- ...

First you need to remove the steam wand control knob. Try using two flathead screwdrivers or two butter knives to pry it off. Make sure to protect your machine's casing by wrapping your tools up with a cloth or electric tape. Remove the top off your machine.
You should see the copper line coming from the boiler and the adjusting screw from which you just removed the knob.

There is a small hex bolt that holds a stopper in place. I assume the role of the stopper is to prevent over torquing the valve on closure and damaging the seal. With time, this stopper is known to move and will prevent you from completely closing the steam wand valve and causing it to drip.

Get your hex key kit out and loosen the hex bolt enough to be able to turn the black plastic stopper.

Now close the steam wand valve hand tight. Before putting everything back together, you might want to turn your machine on to test if you have closed it tight enough.

Adjust the plastic stopper so that it sits tightly against the protruding copper piece on the copper line. Tighten the hex bolt.

Reinstall top of machine, reinstall the steam valve knob in the correct position and enjoy your leak free steam wand.
