Trouble with replacement LaPavoni Pub V1 motherboard

The motherboard on my Pub V1 seems to have failed. The part number for the motherboard is 438205. I ordered a replacement which was subbed to a 438212. The new board is a bit smaller, but has all the same connectors.
I plugged it in, but there seems to be no power to the control panel. The light doesn't come on when powering up like it used to, and the switches don't work.
It also appears that the pump doesn't run when filling the boiler like it used to although I can hear the fill solenoid turn on and off as it fills. Anyone ever made this sort of upgrade? I'm wondering if the wiring needs to be changed to get power connected correctly.
TIA,
Gordy

sometimes when you switch boards simply the switching around of the
hot and neutral
will make things work
HOWEVER look at the schematic before taking the chance of burning it up
