Can someone please tell me if this is the correct method to descale my Izzo Vivi HX machine? I've tried to hobble something together from all the different posts I've been reading, but I have little faith in things not going pear shaped with me knowing for sure, and to be honest I'm rather inept at these things and wish not to cause myself more problems.
Heat machine.
Fill water tank with citric acid solution (75g per 1 liter of water)
Run pump and wait 10-20 minutes. Repeat several times.
Refill tank with fresh water.
Turn off machine and empty boiler through hot water tap. Turn on machine filling boiler and repeat until water is no longer acidic.
Thanks all!

Is this one of the posts you read? - Simplified HX Descale [PourOver]
This is a post on checking for scale buildup - Checking an E61 Espresso Machine for Scale
In short, your description runs descaling solution through the brew path and DOES NOT put any solution into the boiler itself.
