Hi all,

Does anyone know when the HB professional review of the DoubleDomo is to be published?

Thanks,

The Vibiemme DoubleDomo is on backorder, but we're next in line. :)

Dave and I will document our research in the Bench forum. Most of the reviews have taken 3-4 months from Bench to publication, though hopefully this one will go faster since the DoubleDomo shares a lot with the Vibiemme Domobar Super.

That is fantastic to hear that this is on tap. Given how positive the HX Vibiemme review is, I'm very interested in what you have to say about this machine. It is probably too much to hope for, but I'd also love to see comparisons with the other obvious competitor dual boilers (Duetto, Vivaldi II, and Brewtus II) and, of course, some of the HX machines, (HX Vibiemme, one of the Quickmills) - something akin to the lever machine smackdown would be really interesting.

Thanks again for all the great reviews. I love reading them!

Is this one close to hitting The Bench?

We'll come back to this in January after a holiday breather. Last I heard, Vibiemme is tweaking it based on feedback from early adopters with the assistance of 1st-line/Stefano's Espresso Care.

Will the test model have the monster RPM motor/Procon pump shown in this version? Can't wait.

Any update on the status of getting the Vibiemme DoubleDomo for the review? I wonder what tweaking could possibly be taking so long.

I am not sure if this is appropriate to ask in this thread (feel free to separate), but are there any plans for the Izzo Alex Duetto to be reviewed as well? I know that it is up to the vendor (chriscoffee), but just wondering if it was presently being discussed. Even though a formal review exists elsewhere, it would be nice to see HB do one in their format.

Thanks,
Joe

Jim at 1st-line says he's been tinkering in his basement with the Vibiemme DoubleDomo. I haven't been pushing for the review to begin because of our own backlog. The Ponte Vecchio Lusso was finally published, but the final writeup of the Titan Grinder Project is long overdue. The Expobar Brewtus III and Dalla Mini Corte are in progress. There are no plans to review the Izzo Alex Duetto because Chris' Coffee expressed no interest and there is information elsewhere.
