by mattwells on Thu Jan 18, 2007 10:52 pm I am a constant lurker on HB (I am glad that it doesn't have a 'total time spent' clock running at the bottom like some forums I am a member of) and have been so for almost a year now.
When I first came I could check the forum once a day (or so) and read all of the new topics. I didn't even know the 'mark all as read' button existed. Recently (most noticeably since the X-mas contest, but it has been coming for awhile) I haven't been able to do that. Even more recently I am not reading 50% of the threads. I check the lever forum and the home roasting forum (both because I am making a transition into those two areas in the near future [go to pick up a HotTop from Bob Roseman on Sat.]) and will skim some of the other sub-forums to see if anything strikes my fancy. If not, 'mark all as read' and then wait until I can't keep up the next day.
Just a thought/realization on how this forum has grown and is growing.
