OK, it looks like 41% of HBers, who answered that they have more than 5 different coffees per average week, need remedial arithmetic lessons. I cup over a 100 different coffees a year, and guess what? -- that comes to 2 different coffees per average week.
The rest of the answers show about the same thing as the "fill the grinder hopper" and "don't fill grinder hopper" poll a while back -- that about half the people use one or two coffees a week and fill the hopper and about half use more and do not.
I answered correctly (with one coffee per week), but the poll was somewhat confusing. I'm going to guess that many interpreted the poll as how many coffee drinks per week (not different origin coffees or blends).
Agreed, I believe a lot of people (mis)understood the question "How many different espressos / coffees do you drink in an average week?" to mean how many espressos they drank, not how many types of coffees used in their preparation. A less ambiguous question would be: "Do you change origin coffees / espresso blends in a typical week?"
To confirm my suspicion, I'll reword and reset the poll tomorrow. My apologies for the ambiguity of the poll question.
The reworded poll is posted. While not explicitly stated, I assumed that "Do you change origin coffees / espresso blends in a typical week?" includes drinks besides espresso (e.g., if you drink one espresso blend and one French press blend in a typical week, you would vote 2).
For reference, below are the interim results from the previous poll:
