www.ptscoffee.com: without the love, it's just coffee

Nicholas Lundgaard (shadowfax) joins Team HB

This past year was one of significant projects.

The Titan Grinder Project is the site's most ambitious research to-date -- and it's still not done. In the same spirit, the Lever Espresso Machine Smackdown compared well-known equipment choices head-to-head -- and it's still not done. Only one review was completed -- an update by guest reviewer Ian Stewart (Buyer's Guide to the La Spaziale Vivaldi II). Do I detect a pattern? These efforts were fun, but obviously left the team stretched.

If next year is anything like this year, there's room on the team's lineup for another player. For the last few months we've been mulling over candidates. John recommended Nicholas, a long-time member (#15) who dropped out of sight for over a year and has recently re-emerged. Perusing his post history, you'll see that he's been busy since his return with posts that demonstrate deep technical knowledge and a helpful attitude. I'm pleased to have him on the team and look forward to working with him in planning the projects for next year. In recognition of his strong background, he'll be leading the Espresso Machines forum.

Welcome Nicholas!

Dan, thank you for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to helping the team out as best I can. This site has been an incredible resource to me; it's opened me up to an amazing world that I had little knowledge of before, and I feel like a much better person for it. I truly appreciate the opportunity to give back any way that I can.

The Robur helps, but I think that having a big Elektra T1 and a Major would also qualify you. ;)
