This is a question about the site, not a suggestion, so hopefully it's in the right forum.

Why does the last post in a thread, not have the "Quote" button? It has a "Reply" button, but they do not work in the same manner.

Antonio, I merged your thread with one on the same subject. The "reply" for the last post is an imperfect disincentive to quoting en masse. However, the option is still available in its (intentionally) less obvious location in the TOPIC REVIEW section directly beneath the edit window and you can re-enable the quote button in the usual place by selecting No for Show reply button for last post in your profile.

Fast? Most of the time it's OK, but occasionally there are timeouts because the server is swapping. The provider says they cannot add memory to the server the site is currently hosted on. When I finally bite the bullet and migrate to another server, then it will be really fast.

I guess it's all relative :) I was used to the _other_ coffee site.

So, relative to that, this is a speed demon

Question - why is it that in every thread, the last post only has the "reply" option, and not the "quote" option? Usually I have to hit reply, then scroll down to the thread in the compose a reply page, click quote on the last post, then go about my business?

Dan has mentioned this before. He wants to minimize unnecessary quotes, figuring that you don't need to quote the post just above your response. Of course, you have found the way to quote if you still desire.

I also want to encourage the use of the search feature, but as this thread demonstrates, my attempts have been met with limited success.

Dan, I PROMISE I searched before I made the post :?

I didn't go to Google and do a site search, but rather used the internal engine. Maybe next time!
