I'm Back

Postby another_jim on Mon Apr 14, 2008 10:20 pm

A few of you may have noticed that I haven't been posting on the coffee boards, including HB, since last summer. I haven't been lurking either; rather I've been away entirely. Extra work in sociology (my on again, off again day job), along with a fierce bout of depression, made it necessary for me to cut back my other commitments. I'm finishing up on my sociology work, and I'm speeding up from the depressed snail's pace; so I'll be returning to read and post.

I won't be unveiling anything new and fantastic, I didn't do any coffee research either. Instead, I'll mostly be catching up, and occasionally commenting. And if I say something particularly dumb and out of date; I apologize in advance.

Welcome back! Not to get all mushy, but rarely did a day pass on HB that I didn't think about your absence. I'm glad to hear Jim's World is closer to level. :-)

I also would like to welcome you back Jim. The online coffee community really benefits from your participation. I myself know what its like to live with depression and understand how it can really affect ones passions in general. Forgive me, as I don't mean to say I know what your experiences have been, rather that I've had my own experiences there and time away can be of great help. I truly hope this message finds you well and again welcome back.

As one of the most quoted coffee writers on the planet, you've earned as many zingers as you need to get back up to speed.

Glad to see you're back. :D We've missed you.

Welcome back Jim. Hope depressions weighty cloud fully dissipates soon. Had a rough bout a couple years ago myself, no fun.
