HB site update - Page 7

HB wrote:As I thought, it wasn't hard at all: Go to your User Control Panel and select Normal/Medium/Large under Profile > Font Size. It will increase the default font in the forum and the rest of the site, though there will still be an IE/Firefox difference until the non-forum content is entirely converted to CSS.

Thanks for listening, Dan. An excellent and swift solution to the point size issue. I'll get used to the new font.
Good luck with all the modifications and improvements.

Interesting, I usually use Firefox to view HB and now the default text size for the homepage is enormous (with the "latest forum topics" being quite small)... Hitting it with IE7, the overall text is quite small (not unreadable, but quite small). Forum Topics is about the SAME size...

Ah, now this is starting to make sense! Thanks, I'll look at it more closely tonight.

Still experimenting and not really finished as of yet.... when I defaulted to "Times New Roman 12pt" it made my google e-mail almost impossible to read! Tweaking and Tweaking... I'll let you know what I finally settle on!

Holy cow! ditto that! I tried it on 14 and felt it was legible, but still too small. Changed it back to 16 for now.

OK, went into the "Advanced" settings and selected "Century Schoolbook" as my default "serif" font @ 12pt, "Arial" as sans-serif with Serif as the "Proportional" font (that forces the Century Schoolbook, UNLESS the site specifies a font). Courier as the mono-spaced font. 12pt is default and MINIMUM font size is set to 12pt (for now). All seems to work OK (Gmail is OK, a tad small, bot OK, etc)...

The full "chain" to get there is "Options/Content" and "Fonts & Colors/Advanced"...

EDIT: corrected the "Ariel" to "Arial" (as it SHOULD be! )

Is there a "light" or "lofi" version somewhere? This new update is now completely unreadable on my Pocket PC.

Along those lines, if I follow a link from an e.mail to an updated thread on my BB, it forces me to login.

And this one:

The forum listings are gone on the main page. I"m talking about the line that says:

Tips & Techniques · Espresso Machines · Espresso Grinders · Lever Espresso Machines · Coffees · Home Roasting · Knockbox · The Bench

under the line that says:

REVIEWS · HOW-TOS · FORUMS · MARKETPLACE · FEATURES · RESOURCES · FAQS
