Forum questions

Please excuse the dumb questions, but feel free to answer them. :-)

Have recent forum changes made it impossible to find a straightforward way to sign in? It's that way for me.

Similarly, I have no idea how to find my forum profile. The link to it has disappeared.

I noticed changes as well although I have had no problem signing in. Look at the bar below the HB logo. In the far right click on inbox * options * logout. I think that will help you navigate.

Thanks, now I see the login option in Internet Explorer:

Unfortunately, I normally use Firefox, where the page looks like this:

Andy, please clear your brower cache and then post your browser's agent string by clicking here. For me, Firefox shows this:

Browser is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13 GTB7.1

Here's a screenshot:

Your profile information is under "Options". For some reason, your browser appears to identified as a mobile device. Are you browsing with a smartphone (and if so, what resolution)?

I browse with two devices: a Droid phone and Firefox on my desktop.

Weird. Maybe the session associated with your Droid is associated with the one for your desktop? What's the agent string for the Droid? If you haven't done so, try clearing your browser caches; I'll clear the site session table to force logins too.

Done that, so far, no joy.

Do you know the resolution of your smartphone display? For the Firefox browser, try View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0). It's unlikely, but it's possible that the session for your smartphone is being picked up by your desktop. To tell for certain, browse the HTML source. The <a> tag below will have a 'style' attribute to make the font large if it thinks it's a mobile device, otherwise it's blank (e.g., Firefox on Windows below).

I guess the resolution is 480 x 854.

Reset (Ctrl+0) made no difference.

Browsing the HTML source is beyond my pay grade, but here's a screenshot:

Did you try adding a PID to your Android? It couldn't hurt.
