LOVE the distinction between marking posts and forums read.

Would dearly love a Back to Unread. Replace the ^ {Back to Top}

Ah, now I see what's going on... and I think it's fixed. The alt text was set in the topics listing but not in the forums listing. Perhaps that will make the read/unread a bit clearer.

Glad to hear, but the current board does the same thing (not as obvious though since there's only an icon).

Hmm-m, you mean show it there all the time or only if you entered the topic via the unread posts page?

Jump to Unread should be available all the time. Of course it would be cool if it disappeared on reading the last unread post.

Gotcha. I use Firefox and open the unread posts page on the first tab, then open a new tab for topics I want to read. Your suggestion has merit, but I'm a little concerned about the performance implication of encouraging a "back to unread" as a sort of browser Back button.

Dan, "if it ain't broke, why fix it?" Maybe because I'm used to the previous format or because of my presbyopia, this new format will get some getting used to (hey, I still refuse to "upgrade" to Vista). It appears the font size to be narrower if not smaller. Can't we go back?

I'd have to compare the font selections to see the different. You can easily increase the font size if you use Firefox (Ctrl+ for larger, Ctrl- for smaller, Ctrl+0 for the default).

No, it's a one-way conversion.

Which post? I searched and didn't find it. In testing, I found quite a few problems with accented characters that I thought were addressed before the conversion. :?

It's the last post on this page. I went in and removed the accent mark and then posted the bug report. Maybe something glitched during the conversion process, because I just went in to try and put it back and of course now it seems to work fine.

Sorry to trouble you about it.

That's what worries me. I tested the conversion process and specifically wrote code to properly handle accented characters; if you see any other malformed characters, please let me know.
