Just some good old walnut to finish out an espresso machine that I made a portafilter handle for years ago. Owner decided it was time to finish swapping out all the plastic.

Nice thing about having a wood shop is being able to make your own stuff when you cannot find something you like.

Have not had a request for one of these for a while. This is a Wenge 'hopper' for a HG1 hand coffee grinder to replace the little tiny hopper they come with. I was lucky enough to get the lower assembly from the manufacturer a couple years ago when I was doing some other work. Makes fitting the top easy.

Beautiful, as usual Dave. These handles seem like a bit of a departure from your other designs; are they significantly shorter?

Just the angle of the photo. Owner wanted to keep the symmetry between the portafilter and steam controls so they have a straight taper instead of the sculpted handles I normally turn but they are full length.
