Custom Wood for your Espresso Machine - Page 10

Postby cannonfodder on Sun Mar 07, 2010 12:36 am

Now and then someone asks me if I do other work, yes. I just finished this table for me and my reading corner in the new house. It has spindle pedestal, molded feet and beaded top finished in danish oil. The wood is butternut if you are curious. Now back to more coffee machine orders....

Too small. This one is 24". It will hold a lamp between two chairs in the corner of the great room. A cupping table would be best around 36" and taller since you would be standing. I could also put a lazy Susan under the table so you could turn it while cupping. It would need a catalyzed finish or epoxy resin to make it waterproof and take some high heat. Hmm, I may have a new project for downstairs. I have to get my big order finished first. Making a shaker style sewing table with a machine lift, opening doors, 8 draws and a flip top. Wife wanted a new place to work. Making it from black walnut with curly maple trim.

The cocobolo is breathtaking - true art. That's the stuff I want on my Elektra lever & Mazzer. Do you have a website?

No web page. I am an IT pro by trade, when I get home, the last thing I want to do is work an another computer. I do not even watch TV much any more. It is a hobby, but with all the orders I get it is nearly a part time job, 4 hours a day 7 days a week in the garage or more right now.

The email link in my profile is the best way to contact me. It goes to an account just for wood working.

I have a full set in birdseye and a Leva set in some eye popping Amboyna burl in final finish right now. This Amboyna is jaw dropping, 100% burl figuring.

I have developed a head cold so I am running a bit slow right now.

Birdseye maple, looks better in person. There was no sun today and a camera flash washes out the wood but it still looks good. The square part is a hopper cover for a grinder.

And the Amboyna burl for a MicroCasa Leva. Gorgeous wood

Had a request for a pen. Silver rollerball turned in Afzelia xylocarpa quilted wood.
