Koa wood for an Expobar. It is difficult to catch the shimmer in the wood (Chatoyance) in a photo but you can see a little of it.

When we were on the Big Island, I bought a locally made mask from Koa wood when we were in Hilo. It has that same luster or shimmer.

Got bored yesterday evening so I made a set of grips for my 1911 to match the knife I just made.

Small knife is spoken for, Large one in Koa wood is still available.

Finished up a couple knifes. One is a smaller blade, I put it in some Carlo Walnut and put 5 coats of gunstock varnish oil on it. The sheath is a horizontal sheath for a belt. The other is a polished 6 inch blade with a laser engraved bolster. I put some curly Koa wood on it along with some mosaic pins and a gloss finish. If anyone wants one drop me an email, I will make you a deal.

I am finishing up some GS3 parts that are out of this world, stay tuned for more eye candy.

This is going to make one seriously cool GS3. Side panels, tamping station, two portafilter handles, steam control and paddle group all in Wenge with a lot of layers of finish.

Hi Dave. Great stuff. I really like the side panels. I just bought an Alex Duetto 3 and was wondering if you were still taking orders for some wood work? I know you're just getting over a medical thing and I wouldn't want to impose. Hope you're feeling better...

Finished up a set in Ironwood burl. This customer has partially retrofitted the machine with ball valves for the steam/water controls which is whey there are two joysticks and one flower control. Cloudy day so the grain is not popping like it normally would. Need to cut down the portafilter stud then in the mail it goes.

That's just plain beautiful. Makes me want to go dust off the lathe.
