Who ships ponte vecchio? - Page 2

It looks like Gensaco sells the Lusso as the Lever Lux. Have you asked them if they ship it?

Sounds like the Strega would be a better bet from what I read here. Joe at Good Coffee has shipped the Lusso in the past and usually has them in stock. His phone number is 206-622-5602, which is the only way to get hold of him.

It will be twice as big in any case. :D

I think you'll be more than satisfied. For a small price difference the Strega is clearly a class above in terms of build quality, and it will give you a lot more versatility. Keep us posted!

thx PC, my issue was more about budget than space...I will have a dedicated table for the machine...I just figured 2x the cost was worth the upgrade in my particular case...the ROI is still pretty good considering what I'm doing at the moment...the mypressi twist is very mobile if I need something like that

it really is a bummer that not many people ship the PVL anymore

I know this discussion thread goes back a couple of months, but thought I would add that I just got mine (Ponte Vecchio Lusso) from Vaneli's using UPS after ordering it last week. It was wrapped like a new laser printer (i.e. in see-through plastic with soft and fitted shipping materials shielding it from the box), thus I really don't understand the whole discussion on 1st-line that they stopped shipping it due to transport issues...
On a side-note the prices quoted on Vaneli's for the same machines appear significantly lower.

Best regards,
Matt

Update (April 8th, 2012): It seems that prices have leveled out since I wrote this post and the disclaimer about not shipping it due to packaging also seems to have disappeared over the last week.

It's good to hear that Vanellis is carrying PV again. I got my Export from them six years ago, and they were good to deal with. Keep us posted with your experiences.
