Which colour Olympia Cremina? - Page 2

Red has to be the colour....it sits next to a Mini Mazzer on a very old butcher's chopping block in a corner of our farmhouse kitchen...looks a million dollars.
I bought mine from Reiss Gunsen at Londinium who offers to deliver it personally, set the pressurestat to its optimum and teach you how to pull the perfect shot.

If I ever buy a Cremina and have the choice of colour, it will be red. Just seems right.

Mine is red, and though it wasn't my top choice of color, I have grown to absolutely love it. Gives it just enough bling without shouting.

Does your wife have a preference?

Yea. . . . If a certain color can get your wife on board you might just have to take her preference. But hey, that is a lot better than not having a Cremina at all ;)

Update:

I emailed Olympia asking them what Pantone number their red was. They responded within a couple of hours to say that using the Pantone number was only valid for printing and that they would be sending a sample by return of post. That arrived 3 working days later (great service!) So this weekend we visited the kitchen shop to find a sample of the Olive Green kitchen she's selected. The red contrasted too much, so Anthracite it is!

Thanks for everyone's opinions. :D

Red here too. Love it. Classy and timeless.

I had mine painted by a local powder coater who does a lot of auto-restoration... It's a straight-ahead, standard red.

And another look at red on an Olympia machine - though a Maximatic/Livietta... still gives you an idea of how it can look. On both of these machines, I had the frame done in black - very low-gloss. The red is more glossy, but not too much - looks nice together.
