Where to find a Olympia Cremina? - Page 2

This place seems to have them in stock (or at least, their website thinks so!)

Boy it's hard to resist ordering one myself! If only I knew that it was an easy thing to master! Can a small woman create enough pressure in the pull for one of these things?

Thanks for the tips. There are a few sites that list them as being for sale, but alas, they are out of stock with no delivery for more than 7 months. The wait wouldn't be so bad, but the expected +$1,000 price increase for the new arrivals will really hurt. Looks like I will need to find a good used one.

The plate for the serial number is missing. A hot machine in more ways than one?

I have a Cremina from 1977 that I am thinking of selling. I have my huge Gaggia lever up and running and I'm in the middle of rebuilding my La Marzocco SMAL and my wife would like to reclaim a little counter space. Let me know if someone is interested.

Gregg,

So you're going to gain counter space by keeping the behemoths and getting rid of one of the most compact machines around :)

I liked the cremina but I never loved it. I am a sucker for interesting looking machine and I find the cremina a little plain. The more knobs and gauges the better. Here a photo of a machine that I have in my basment because the wife won't let it go upstairs.

It's french and really big and I'll never make a cup of espresso with it but I love the red bakelite knobs.
