What colour to powder coat cimbali m20 lever?

Postby craigcharity on Sun Oct 30, 2011 10:18 am

Hey, please help me choose colour/s to make my cimbali m20 for rebuild. I was thinking machine grey for the bottom sections and white for the sides and back . Bearing in mind it has to go next to my major grinder which is blue :)

Well, I really like the flightcase paintjob for this one Cafethema restoration / Portacaffé blog

I'd go for something with a bit of pop next to your blue Major. But not blue. Then it would be too much blue. Yellow maybe?

Hmmm, i wouldn't go blue, it would definitely be overboard. But I don't think I would like going retro like the cafethema :) I have thought of going Orange like the frame on that machine, maybe a burnt orange to tone it down a bit. I have seen some olympia's like that.

My Aurora is in powder coated orange. It's a lovely modest sort of orange rather than the loud worker's vest colour.

Has to be one of my favorite colours for coffee machines...you can just see it here but a good indication.

Black frame over a gray chassis.

This P67 Pavoni is also one of my favorite combos. I think the shape of the M20 also lends itself well to cream over stainless/chrome. Maybe better in some ways to the brighter colours of the more boxy Auroras and Pavonis.

Are you suitably confused?

Gonzo, red is growing on me. But if red, should it have black bottom? How were your shots from it? Did you have any pearls?

paint is really hard for me ... it is necessary to make an undercoat and then put the color you have chosen.

sorry for my english
