Very old Europiccola gasket replacement

Postby Sean on Mon Oct 29, 2007 1:38 pm

Has anybody ever replaced the gaskets in an old (say, 1960s) Europiccola. I know I cannot buy a kit for them, but I'm wondering if anybody has exact demensions, or if there is anything special about the type of rubber, etc. so I can order custom gaskets.

My machine still works, and I love it, but it is starting to leak. I'm not exactly sure it's age, but it is the old model with the metal toggle switch that you have to unplug in order to turn off.

Thanks!

Actually you are mistaken- you can buy all the seals you might need-
Check out or contact Stephano at Espressocare

http://www.espressocare.com

He has very reasonable parts prices, is a member here and can be very helpful also.

There are several websites to refernce you to when you need help in how to install the seals etc.

Let us know when you are ready

hello sean,

on la pavoni europiccola and ambassasor models circa 1960-74 it is necessary to unthread the cylinder from the group body in order to replace the seals.

the process is discussed in this earlier h-b thread:

best wishes with your machine,
