Used La Cimbali Microcimbali lacking boiler pressure - Page 3

Postby Bluecold on Tue Nov 24, 2009 7:04 pm

I'm running the latest Opera beta and haven't got any issues. I find that with Opera, the beta's are usually better and the 'stable' versions crashing pieces of crap. Either way, it's hands down the best browser.
But, on topic, I've found a pdf with an exploded view on Francesco Ceccarelli's site

Couldn't you run the uCimbali as a gravity fed? I'd totally go PID hi-lo switch on it if i had one. But i haven't. So i don't.

This is a picture of the pressure gage on my microcimbali. The gage measures from 0.00 to 1.0 bar, with the red level being 0.14 to 0.34. The machine will rise to 0.4 but quickly drop to 0.2 - 0.25 and stay at that level. I do not really have a problem with steam, but when I release the steam, the bolier will turn back on and the pressure will increase to the 0.25 level and the boiler will shut off. I believe that the pressure gage is original.

Thanks,
Bruce

It looks almost like they mislabeled the graph on your meter. When you should be reading .9 to 1.1 Bar, your gauge looks to be atmosphere compensated so .1 on your scale would be what we consider 1.1 bar of pressure. Either way 1/2 way to that red zone should be about right.

My graph is the same and I think also that I have the original part. Also my graph seems to function the same way as Bruce explains but I am still having problems getting the milk steemed right, do you got any hints for me Bruce?
