On these custom lever handles and knobs from Thor, does the wood itself get female threaded, or is the female thread cut into a metal tube of some sort which is epoxied into place inside the wood?

My Cremina PF handle has cracked and I'm considering some extravagance.... :)

HI timo,

The Thor handles I have are made with a female-threaded metal tube epoxied into the wood handle. I have them for both Tebaldi and Gigli and they work very well. Les now owns a Cremina and is very familiar with the Elektra. Send him email. He has many kinds of wood. I have a Myrtlewood tamper i love. It is less exotic that Desert ironwood but no less beautiful. I also have an ambonya Burl tamper. Same story.
