Hello All,
I'm new to the forum. I have been collecting and working on Lever Machines for a while and often encounter problems with finding part. I recently discovered this forum was delighted to read many of the posts.
Recently I found a very nice Chromic Amore Cappuccino. The machine is in beautiful shape. I have refitted the piston and portafilter gaskets from Orphan. Now the thermostat has started to act strange and turns off after it reach max temperature and then won't turn back on. Therefore after one pull there is no more pressure. I have tried starting the machine with the steam valve open to discount false pressure but this does not make much difference. I therefore believe I need a new thermostat for cappuccino amore but have not been able to find one.
Please Help..
Bob

This is the second photo I have seen of this type to CA thermostat, the first I thought was some type of mod. The machines we have had use two surface mount automatic disc thermostats, one rated 104C that is wired through the brew circuit and a second higher temp thermostat that is wired through the steam circuit on the switch. These are simply mounted with clips on the bottom of the boiler. Now that you have come up with this one the logic is that it was a possible upgrade to the two disc stat wiring or of course the two disc was made to replace this one.

Can't say where to get one of these or how the rest of the machine is wired...likely the most creative CA adventure was the PID control installed some time back to great success.
