This machine goes back 40 years. And is now priced at around $4000 in North America.

That is too rich for my blood but I have accepted a loaner for a week and giving it a whirl in my kitchen and my lab at the local University.

So far - after two days of testing (and I have used lever machines before...) - I find this unit a joy to use and virtually no pitched shots thus far.

Using it with a Baratza Vario and good quality locally roasted coffee.

More reports to follow -

Welcome to HB.
I see you're in my neighborhood (Victoria). Yes, vintage or new, the Cremina is a real treat to pull shots from. I sent my MCALs on vacation for awhile (another words, My '83 Cremina is in daily operation).

Here's an overview of the late-model Cremina machines:

While the new machines share a lot in common with the vintage C67 models, there are also some differences in construction and features.
