Strange Thing from Inside Olympia Cremina Boiler...Name that Booger - Page 2

Postby orphanespresso on Sat Oct 22, 2011 2:20 am

All reasonable theories...as good as any I can come up with. There is the possibility that with no vac valve that on cool down, with the pf and screen removed, and some monofilament fishing line got spagetti sucked up by the group and into the boiler and with enough heat and time it self assembled into something resembling a knitted dead mouse. Of course it could have entered through the steam wand as well...I think I'll go with the coprolite theory...seems more plausible.

I have been wondering if it could have been left in there by a careless technician..or even a tech sufficiently aggravated be some sufficiently aggravating customer did it on purpose. It smells like Aqua Velva.

Anvan, you're cracking me up :D The funniest thing I have read on this forum so far.
Doug, what a brilliant video, I'm glad you shared it. The sucked-in theory is likeable in a 60's UFO abducted-by-aliens way. Poor unsuspecting fishing line, it didn't know what was waiting for it...
May you all have a great Saturday, or what's left of it for you people down under, this thread enlightened mine. Coffee tastes better now :)

Dinosaurs started very small. Like our rodent ancestors. Speaking of which, Doug, are you sure it isn't really a dead mouse instead of the knitted kind? Leave that boiler cap off and they can shimmy in there. Perhaps it got really thirsty, drank some Aqua Velva and died a horrible death while seeking shelter. Or maybe somewhere in the production cycle a civet made it into the bag along with its pre-digested beans? Life can be cruel.
