LadyCroft...

I know some people on here use lite milk but until I purchased full cream milk I had no joy at all trying to froth milk...I am not sure how your milk is labeled in US but lite milk just never works for me...maybe give that a try.

cheers.

I've had a lot of difficulties frothing milk with the MCaL using the same standard technique that seems to work with every other machine I've tried. After many poor attempts, I'm finally getting the Elektra to produce the micro-bubble result that I like. The difference is in the timing between the two frothing stages. With most machines I switch from the stretching phase to the rolling phase at around 30-35°C (this nice tutorial recommends 40°C), where as with the MCaL I tend to get much better results if I only start rolling at around 50-55°C. It doesn't make much sense, but the results are very clearly better. If the OP is still having problems frothing with this machine, then it might be worthwhile to give this tip a shot.

LadyCroft,

Did you ever figure out how to steam milk with your MCal? I have the same issue.

Thanks!
