I am guessing you could always burn it out with a torch prior to soldering if you ever change your mind. I have no idea what the fumes of burning loctite are like, so I would make sure I was in open air while doing it. I just checked their website and they do not list the melting or boiling point.

I have been thinking of a third method to seal this leak:
After you have cleaned around the leak and made sure that the leak comes from a pinhole, drill a small hole right in the centre of the pinhole, tap a 3/16" thread, buy a 3/16"" brass screw, apply some Loctite to the screw before screwing it in place.

Happy to report that a little Loctite Green (290) did the trick. I had my doubts when i saw the viscosity of the product, but after a 24hour cure time and careful observation, things appear to be back on track (knock on wood)

that's a nice little nugget of information duly filed away for future use. Thanks for trying it! Beats taking the whole thing apart and brazing. Great!
