I recently obtained an early Cremina. It has the fluted lever handle but the portafilterhandle is smooth as you can see in the picture.
I was wondering if this is original?

Cheers,

Lever handle, yes, pf handle, no. Originally they matched. Both have same threads, and used same grips originally.

Yes, I can confirm what Doug says. My early 70s Cremina has fluted lever and pf handles. I like them and think it's a pity they changed them to the more solid look.

You're not always right, but when you're right, you're right, right?
