Searching multiple lever video

Postby robert mayrand on Wed Feb 17, 2010 11:12 pm

A while ago there was an italian barista video with a 3 or 4 lever machine that was quite impressive, unfortunately I can't find it. Anyone remember?

Thanks, just what I was looking for!
I realise that in the first video the preinfusion varies from 3 to 8 seconds, and that the spring return is only about 10 seconds. Quite short actually are those ristretto or single shot.

I found a second video of this guy, is he making dopio or is that sugar he's putting in the cup. At first a was pretty sure that it was milk, but then you see the white stuff sinking in the cup......just wondering?

There's a series of videos of Cafeteria Gabi's in Mexico City, the first couple feature a four group lever on this post in the LMWDP Rollcall thread.

There's a lot going on in this video, I haven't really had a chance to sit down and watch it, but this Barista is really working it.

I watched these vids awhile ago, and noticed that he puts sugar in almost everyone of the shots he pulls. I also noticed in my last trip to Italy, at Christmas time, that most Italians put sugar in their espresso.

On some cam action levers the lever returns to upright well before the spring has fully extended so they're probably full-term extractions. I learned this the hard way with a full bore puck explosion on a commercial lever.
