Hi,

I replaced a faulty gauge on my La Pavoni Professional and I now have 2 leaks:
One between the gauge bolt and gauge and
one between the gasket underneath the gauge bolt and upper chrome assembly.
So the fix this I put some plumbers teflon tape around the gauge and tighten the gauge bolt
That did not help much.
The gauge itself could be screwed on tighter but then then I could not see the front of the gauge.
Is there some trick to this?

Thanks,

Nikko

P.S. I can always put an extra washer underneath the gauge

I agree, some of the sight glass tubes are a tiny bit too long and the gauge adapter does not go all the way in. That happened to me. Using force will crack the sight glass or bend the lower sight glass mounting away from the boiler. Teflon tape is great for the gauge itself and allows you to orient the gauge toward the front.

first screw the gauge on the fitting almost all the way
then screw the fitting to the sight glass mount ( putting the p-58) under
screw it down until will not go any further
then finish the gauge until it will be facing front
