Gabor, thanks for sharing the photos! The new piston looks great. I'm curious, as it is right now with the pressure gauge installed using the lid doesn't seem like it would be an option, do you have any thoughts on covering the top of the kettle when it's not in use? Perhaps cutting another area out of the lid to make room for the gauge. Not the biggest problem, but was just thinking about it.

I asked Dan (@hb) to separate the piston gauge kit part from this thread. I hope we can discuss this topic further.

Think there could maybe be an option for a modified dust lid for use with the gauge? Not that it'd be impossible for me to order another lid and drill it myself, but I'm sure it would be a much cleaner product professionally done.

Sure, but really not easy. There will be not much left over :-)

Wow! Not much room with the lever down! Totally forgot the handle would be in the way.

Also, the aesthetic of that bare gauge fits the CT1 so well.

It's too early to speculate about a product.

Hello guys,
Brief feedback after 1 week usage. 1st of all it looks very nice (yes, I know beauty is personal), but it harmonizes to the original design. I guess it fits more to CT1 than Cremina. Sorry Gábor :D
There is enough room for the lever. It is not an issue. However my position was not 'optimal' when making a shot (I bent down a bit to check visually the outflow) I changed it and now I can see the pressure gauge. Regarding to the usefulness, yes it gives me more possibility to control.
