Personalized LMWDP tampers

Postby HB on Thu Sep 13, 2007 8:36 pm

As some of you may know, espressparts.com (EPNW) makes custom tampers and laser engraved tampers, including those for this site:

From How do the HB logo espresso tampers compare?

Dave (OlywaDave) mentioned that they recently acquired an in-house engraver, which will greatly decrease the turnaround time and allow them more flexibility. On that note, he suggested the members of the Lever Machines World Domination Plot (LMWDP) might appreciate personalized tamper endcaps. Below is a mockup of the design:

The lower lettering can be the member's LMWDP number, name, or their login (e.g., LMWDP #004, Jim Schulman, or another_jim). Note that it is intentionally a very simple design, precisely the same as the site logo, though the fonts may be twiddled slightly in the final version. But before getting too much further into it, it's important to know: Is anyone interested in a LMWDP personalized tamper?

UPDATE: Below is the link and pictures of the prototype:

Count me in!

But wait--could they come in 51mm for the Pavoni?

Oh--and speaking of counting--how do I get a LMWDP member number? Does anyone know what we're up to?

Thanks!

I've been looking for an excuse to get a new tamper so count me in, too.
I wasn't born in Texas, but got here as fast as I could!
