1) You preheat the portafilter in boiling water.
2) Put the coffee in.
3) Tamp with a 58mm tamper.
4) Drop the loose metal screen onto the coffee
5) Then pour heated water into the portafilter
6) Extract the espresso...
I'll try and post some videos but that is essentially it. If using the naked portafilter the pre-heat is just warming up the basket, I just rinse hot water through it. If using the spouts then they need a bit more heat, so just let it sit in a cup or hot water for a bit.

The basket is very deep so you have to you the included aluminium tamper, which has tapered sides.

The dispersion screen is a snug fit, both basket and screen are very high quality. They are made by the same factory that make all the world's top quality baskets. Without a dispersion screen the coffee goes all mushy when you add the hot water.

I've been using hot water just off the boil, that seems to work best.

Paul, I hope the production can keep up with the interest...can you give any sort of indication when the first run will be available?

I really don't need a 4th lever, and I already have a MyPressi Twist that covers travel espresso pretty well, but that's one sexy looking robot. I love the way the tamper fits in the hand on it. You need to find a flashlight or make a distribution tool (everyone's making them these days) to fit in the other hand, eh?

Enjoying the videos on Instagram so thanks for posting those. Do we have an estimate on when release date will be?

I have a made a few changes to the model I have on hand and we are expecting new samples early next month. I don't want to put a firm date now, but I'd be really annoyed and surprised if they are not ready for sale by late Nov.

We've had so many requests and emails now that it is impossible for us, as a very small company, to manage those individually. It may well be the best way for us to work with those is through a kickstarter type campaign.

Very cool! Love the look.

Paul, do you happen to have a Faemina Baby on hand? I'm wondering if the silicone seal you are using will fit/work with the Baby.

I ask because I have a Baby that's currently decoration but would love to spring back into action 8)

It will not fit, I am just using a standard lever group piston seal that we sell for the modern levers.
