Does anyone know of a good portafilter holder for the caravel? It keeps tipping on me. Also, as a public service announcement, it appears as if Brooks Espresso will soon be offering filter baskets and drip trays for the caravel. I was pretty excited hearing this.
at around 10-15s into the extraction an air bubble appears and stays there for the duration, sometimes it pops (or I pop it by blowing on it) and another one forms. This happens on pretty much every extraction, on super fresh and...
I am learning the ins and outs of creating shots with my Europiccola and it has been a fun experience so far. One thing that I am not totally sure about is... what shut down process should I be doing after creating shots for the day? Right now, I turn everything off...

I received my 1995 Europiccola from Francesco yesterday and I had the opportunity for my first shot...ever...this morning. Yes, this was my first time making espresso and certainly my first time using a lever. I never had expectations of making a great shot and with...
Quick video of my second ever shot using the Lunar scale, pulled on my Strega. 20 grams of Dumerso SOE, 40 gram shot, 33 seconds total time including preinfusion (lever down, full pump pressure). Amazing body and mouth feel even at this 1:2 ratio. The Lunar is great, saves me...
My mcal finish is pretty crummy and I am wondering if anyone has had theirs chromed. Does it affect the functionality in a negative way? I am also wondering how it would look on the finely detailed parts of the eagle. And my final question would be the cost.
