I say that based on personal experience of the first time I removed the screen from a 2009 Cremina and attempted the technique illustrated in OE's online videos. I removed the snap rings, pulled the pins from the yoke, and using a rawhide mallet, rapped the top of the piston rod -- and rapped it harder -- and yet harder -- all to no avail. The gasket and screen were not moving, and my choices were (1) beat the s**t out of an expensive piece of equipment using a technique which already seemed ill-advised, or (2) apply intelligence and find another solution. I chose the latter and discovered a completely different screen and gasket design than depicted in the videos.
That said, I am educable and would love to know the correct, safe procedure for gasket, screen, and piston removal from a new Cremina.
