Doug, have you sent a out a seal to me? If you have, thank you so much! I hadn't heard from you since my email, so I wasn't sure you got it.

I do not think this is true at all. Prove it!

I say that based on personal experience of the first time I removed the screen from a 2009 Cremina and attempted the technique illustrated in OE's online videos. I removed the snap rings, pulled the pins from the yoke, and using a rawhide mallet, rapped the top of the piston rod -- and rapped it harder -- and yet harder -- all to no avail. The gasket and screen were not moving, and my choices were (1) beat the s**t out of an expensive piece of equipment using a technique which already seemed ill-advised, or (2) apply intelligence and find another solution. I chose the latter and discovered a completely different screen and gasket design than depicted in the videos.

That said, I am educable and would love to know the correct, safe procedure for gasket, screen, and piston removal from a new Cremina.

If I may inject here, in order to remove the piston, you obviously need to remove the screen. But you cannot remove the screen till you remove the gasket first. The gasket is holding the screen in place. The screen is very easy to remove with no tools needed after the removal of the gasket.

This has been my experience with the new Cremina.
