Congratulations Richard.

Now not that I want to add to the timeline, but does the Elektra A Leva have the same basket size as the Semi Automatica (pump version)?
- if so that's another one to add to the list and I think will mean Richard paying us to take the things off his hands (I say Us as I am always happy to relieve a man of excess paraphernalia).

Happy tamping kids

Good thought, but no, the Semi is a 58mm.

:?: Are there any "49mm" machines that we've missed? other than the latest Cremina? :?:

pre-millenium La Pavoni
'75 Oly Club
Cremina: '67, '68, '77, '83, '92
'81 and '82 Livietta ( = Maximatic, Coffee,etc.)
'91 and '97 Cremina's
'86 and '04 A Leva's
Anybody got a 2002+Cremina?
Cheers :)

Have just joined rarefied company of Cremina owners, courtesy o' Todd. Pu-leeez add me to portafilter-seekers here. Anybody keeping track of this bunch? After paging thru all entries, it appears there's developing a healthy company of takers.

As a matter of fact, I just safely packed it up and its ready to be shipped to you tomorrow. And Richard, You can probably take my name off the list of buyers as I finally have a machine with all the parts! Whew...what a journey. I guess depending on the final cost I may change my mind. Its always nice to have a spare. Enjoy the Cremina jameseric!

Spent the weekend with the newd. Here's my observations. Overall design is spot-on. Looks incredible on any machine I have, stainless or brass/copper. Weight and balance with a cremina handle is good. Locks into the head smoothly and fits very well on all my machines. No scraping.

On the Cremina's there is a fair bit of travel with the newd locking at 3:00 compared to the stock portafilter at 4:30 (see the photos below). Not really a big deal. On the Elektra the newd also travels farther than a stock pf, but that's very much desired. Any A Leva owner that's overfilled has most likely experienced the molten grounds explosion before. Good times...

On the wish list for me, I personally like a spring. Just enough tension to allow for clearing on a knock box. Not a deal breaker, just nice to have. Anyway, put me down for at least one.

Thanks Richard for letting me participate in the road show/testing. It was alot of fun! Now, next stop is to Dan Kehn.

Hello Matt,
Thank you, The photos of your machines and the machines themselves are gorgeous. Shame my ugly lever handlegrip core ruined the one shot!

That is the kind of info info I need, The lugs should be a sheet of paper thicker. ( I hope!)

I would hope that I would be able to make them a bit thick and have each person tweek them to the proper O'clock porition for their machine!
Thanks again from all of us!

Is it still possible to get in on this? If so, please count me in.
