New (to me) La Pavoni BAR 1L single Lever!

Postby DrDregs on Tue Oct 04, 2011 2:57 am

I'm so excited! Walked into a friends shop in Melbourne today and he tells me he now has the distributor rights for Pavoni. This beautiful machine was on the counter. I have seen the two group and up machines but not the single.

"Oh boy-oh-boy" I said to wife. "Looks like we might have a new machine for home" I said. She didn't hit me so there's hope yet.

Things were a bit busy to have much of a chat but it has a small tank as well as being able to be plumbed in. It wasn't fired up today but I will return tomorrow to have a play. Price is around the $2400.

If this has already been done then just ignore me.

Hi Don

Thanks for the pics, they are a beautiful machine. It has been discussed on here before, but availabilty is the main issue, with very few agents stocking them. Its one of the few 1 group commercials able to be run off a tank. Are you sure on the price? they go for 1800 Euro overseas, i would have thought they'd be at least 4K plus here.

I thought they may have been talked about prior but it's certainly new to me as I have not seen them available in Oz... I just get overexcited is all.

Price is correct. It was on the sticker and my friend confirmed it which is surprising as the 2 group is over $5000 I saw.

I'm adding up how much all my machines are worth. Wife still hasn't hit me yet  .

Wow, thats gotta be a bargain, and a serious alternative to the strega.

I got a quote for $3900 from a dealer in the States last year. Nobody stocks it, and nobody really seemed all that interested in ordering one for me. The Canadian La Pavoni dealer I asked refused.

I better double check the price in the morning but that was the sticker price and the verbal as well. Up close the machine was imposing and seemed of extraordinary quality. I will look forward to having a play.

Makes a Pro or Europiccola seem rather expensive - no offense to owners of these machines.

I'll miss the Europa though. Maybe I can keep both :D .

Edit; Okay, so I'm rehashing what was discussed in '05. Sorry about that but I'm still excited. I just haven't seen this machine before in Oz

I got a similar quote for the single group La Pavoni Pub 1EL from the U.S. distributor EUROPEAN GIFT & HOUSEWARE. Thanks for providing those pictures, it is a very nice machine. Here is a YouTube video of a Pub 1EL in action:
